vBoy is the best emulator because the games run nearly at full speed and the screen size doesn't need to be scaled down to fit. Now if only the emulator could be sped up to full speed, and the game browser had faster scrolling, I would be a happy camper.

Nice update, looks like you got rid of that strange bug in v1.21, which caused vBoy to slow down in some GBC games.

Keep it up!

Well, it does run smoothly (albeit at double the speed) at the "normal" speed selection. I might be wrong, but I think it uses a frame limiter to get it running at 60 FPS.

First of all congratulations for this great and the best GB emulator for S60 vampent, you guys rock!!.

Secondly I've some sugguestions for your next vBoy version:

- N-Gage (first model) is stereo, as I can see you've implemented stereo for some devices, so it would be possible to include the N-Gage in that list?

- There's frameskip on the emulator, I know it runs fine but I've noticed it when using some fighting games and some fireballs lacks 1 frame or so. Maybe the frameskip is set in 1 or 2?. It would be great an option to select the frameskip :) (this option would be interesting in the vSun emulator ;))

- The sound isn't perfect as the topic of the section says. Some sound effects are lost in some games I've tried (for example KOF '95), so I think this part would be improved :)

Nothing more about this emu. It's the best and probably would be in the future.

Greetings.

The bluetooth multiplayer doesn't seem to work in a friend's 6600, it doesn't searchs for other phones and 'hosting' doesn't appear. BTW it's ok with my 3650.

Slow?

Postby Akuma on Sat Jun 25, 2005 2:31 pm

I've also noticed that this version is slower than the previous one (1.21) in some games... like for example KOF 95 :o

1.3 is more slower that 1.21 in some roms and any roms not working in 1.3 ( in 1.21 yes )

it is still unclear to me how to connect the link option correctly.

if i use the pad mode, i will see the game at the same time on both phones and control them on my phone then it means i need the serial mode as to consider having our own gbc.

but when we're connected as if i will card pop on pokemon trading card game, on the real thing we have to face our ir ports together and press a. but it shows pop failed even if both phones are connected via bluetooth.

i even tried to delay one phone as if we are really using ir port but still failed. this is bluetooth man! it is considered faster than ir ports. howcome the emulator seems to break on the transfer of files

i even tried connecting in metal gear solid vs battle, i can see the difference being connected and not. it connects at the menu but it breaks once you will start to battle

guys please help! :( :( :(

dude. the bluetooth multiplayer is the same as the LINK CABLE! it has NOTHING to do with the IR ports

even if u link two GBC's together with the linkcable it wont allow u to use the IR function now will it?? it has nothing to do with it at all >_<
